What we allow ourselves to ‘see’ is often about what is validated versus what is not validated.
And what if someone could validate the dream? or the little voice that’s just out of reach?
Human civilization is by and large asleep and in this sleep quite mad, because there aren’t many ways to validate the inner experience. Madness in my book includes:
1. Addictions of any kind
2. Insomnia
3. Phobias
4. Obsessive thoughts
5. Depression
6. Any attempts to force all of the above to go away.
Civilization makes human beings mad and mad human beings make civilization. Isn’t it madness to kill the food, air and water that we need for survival but remain addicted to cars, plastics and machinery?
Of course it is.
But, how we have defined survival in this era is about controlling and exploiting nature, rather than serving nature.
So many among us are questioning the status quo. They dare to see what we have learnt not to see.
The other day I met a friend who told me about a psychic who is brilliantly amazing. He was so stunned. There can’t be any way she’d know so much about people, it is not on google, she couldn’t have cheated!.
But in my world, that’s normal. When we meditate, it is about learning to see what is right in front of you but you have been missing it. It is about noticing the suffering that has created energy blocks (non integrated zones in our awareness). It is about feeling the stuff that’s sitting inside from previous experiences. What is not normal in my world is not feeling or not knowing the inner world.
In my world it is normal to cry, rather than walk around in the energy of pain, covered over. In my world it is normal not to need any pain killers or medications, because physical pain is often emotional pain that has learnt to lie. The decision to heal that pain changes a person and makes them transform the experience of limitation into abundance. Sometimes we need someone to look at us straight in the eyes and say, “You have the inner strength to do it.” It is important to trust in the process of healing and know that you have been given all that you need in life to reach your dreams.
In the world of meditation it is normal to be human. It is normal to be happy. In my world it is normal to be sad. In my world it is normal to fall in love or not! In my world it is normal to lose control and then find it through surrender. In my world it is normal to be there for someone until they find that centre of stability that is always there, no matter what happens in life. In my world it is normal to share the intuitive information that is floating around the air and relate on all kinds of levels of awareness.
In my world, it is normal to be who you are. In my world, there are dozens of people who have incredible gifts. That’s normal. What matter most is the energy, peace and calm that you need to move forward on your journey. That’s why you chose to be here and have this experience. That’s why you meet teachers and guides who validate you and what you know in your heart.
Seeing someone bloom and trust in their inner strength is the greatest payoff from teaching meditation. It isn’t about changing them, they are perfect the way they are, instead it is about giving and receiving loving kindness and holding space for growth and development.
